We are seeking a qualified steel detailer or structural designer to prepare shop drawings for the fabrication of structural steel elements on a deck repair project. The scope includes the preparation of detailed fabrication drawings based on structural plans that will be provided to qualified candidates for the following: (2) HSS 5” x 5” x 5​/​16” columns, hot-dipped galvanized Simpson CCQ66 caps (top and bottom) Baseplates, anchor holes, welded threaded studs McMaster Carr A36 rods and turnbuckles Detailing of all steel-to-wood interfaces as required Deliverables: Detailed shop drawings for all steel members, including dimensions, welds, plates, holes, and callouts for fabrication Clearly labeled drawings for fabrication and delivery reference Any required 3D views or isometrics for clarity File format: PDF and DWG​/​DXF if available Requirements: Must have experience in steel detailing, especially for residential or light commercial deck framing Ability to interpret California structural drawings (CBC 2022 code compliance) Familiarity with Simpson hardware and typical deck framing practices
